How to Get to Heaven

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

1. Everyone is a sinner.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

To sin is to disobey God’s law. (1 John 3:4 ...sin is the transgression of the law.) God is your Creator. He has determined what is right and wrong. To reject His law is to rebel against Him. Breaking even one of God’s laws makes you a sinner. (James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.)

2. Everyone Owes a sin-debt.
Romans 6:23a For the wages [penalty or debt] of sin is death…

Lawbreakers deserve punishment, not Heaven. The penalty for breaking God’s law is eternal death in a place called Hell.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Revelation 20:14 And
death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

3. Everyone’s sin-debt has been paid by Jesus Christ.
Because God is just, there must be a payment for sin. Hebrews 9:22 ...without shedding of blood is no remission [forgiveness of sin]. Thankfully, God is also loving and merciful and provided a payment. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord...is...not willing that any should perish... John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God became a man (Jesus Christ) and lived a sinless life. Having no sin of His own to pay for, He lovingly paid for your sin by dying on the cross in your place.

John 1:1, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...
2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

3 days after His death, Christ resurrected back to life, proving that His payment was enough to pay your sin-debt.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said...I am the resurrection, and the life...And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

4. Everyone can be saved.
Romans 6:23b …But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Everlasting life was purchased by Jesus when He died in our place. He now offers it as a free gift to anyone who believes in Him as their Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Do you believe? Although Jesus died to pay everyone’s sin-debt, not everyone is on their way to Heaven. You must personally pray, admit to God you’re a sinner, claim Christ’s payment, and ask Him to save you from Hell.

If you would like to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, simply bow your head right now and humbly:

1. Admit to God that you are a sinner, and accept His definition and condemnation of your sin.

2. Confess that you believe Jesus is God and Savior, who died for you to pay your sin-debt.

3. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and save your soul from Hell.

4. Believe and trust His Word that He promised to save you.
